About Me

My passion for teaching began in high school, where I was deeply involved in my school community. As a senior, I served as a social officer for my drill team and was selected for the PALs (Peer Assistance and Leadership) program, where I mentored elementary students across three different campuses in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. Through this experience, I built meaningful relationships with my students and discovered my passion for working with children. At the same time, I always knew my heart belonged in the world of art, and by the end of senior year, I felt confident pursuing a career as an art educator.

After graduation, I began working toward my Art Education degree at Lone Star College while also joining CFISD’s Community Programs through Club Rewind. This experience further solidified my passion for working with students and creating engaging, supportive environments for them to grow. It quickly became one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences in my journey toward teaching.

While in college, I also started an independent babysitting and pet sitting business in my neighborhood, where I have worked with over 25 families. This experience strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and ability to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. Being part of these families’ lives and watching their children grow has been incredibly meaningful and has further shaped my approach to working with students.

I believe my role as an art teacher is to create a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and growing both creatively and personally. I strive to help students build confidence, take creative risks, and view mistakes as part of the learning process. I often remind my students that the purpose of art is to practice, explore, and grow. Through art, I aim to help students better understand themselves in an environment free of judgment.

Above all, I value creating a calm, positive classroom environment where every student feels seen, supported, and encouraged. My goal is for each student to leave my classroom with a stronger sense of confidence, creativity, and readiness for their future learning experiences.
